1)
I wonder what the colour of Happiness is?
For while in happiness everything seems so bright,
And everything seems right,
So I wonder what the colour of happiness is.
I saw a bride chopping the heels of her wedding shoe,
For her, the height of her husband was more important than hers.
The shoe was shortened but the heart grew fuller.
I saw it and felt happy.
At that time the colour of Happiness was white, for me,
For like white, she also reflected the colours.
Colours of a true wife,
With hardly any strife.
2)
I had tried to acquire happiness,
Big bucks would grant me that, I felt.
I build dreams over that,
Dreams that had no foundation.
I was searching for happiness,
Keeping my dear and near apart.
What a fool I was,
To run away from their warmth.
Big Bucks did arrive finally,
No, not at a time when I wanted,
But at a time when I could handle it,
Neatly and Cleanly.
I found more happiness in giving than receiving,
And the colour of happiness was green for me,
For I felt very natural to give,
Becoming livelier and fresher each time I gave.
3)
I am standing at a home,
Where death made a visit.
People stood around and people wept,
People walked in and people walked out.
I saw a few drops of tears,
That took birth from deep grief,
Grief on his near one’s departure.
I found true love, I said to myself.
I lent a helping hand to this person,
One out of true compassion.
A tribute, I will say, to a person having true love,
In a healthy and hearty state.
At that time happiness was colourless for me,
For I saw it through drops of sorrow,
Knitted with true love,
And surrounded with compassion.
And as I write these lines,
A sense of overwhelming peace envelops me,
It grips me so gently,
That I feel like getting dissolved in thin air.
The true colours of happiness,
Is found in the true colours of our nature.
For when we are natural,
We are filled with happiness, quite naturally.
